π The Night Shohei Ohtani Made History
Los Angeles — It was pure magic at Dodger Stadium. The crowd roared louder than ever as Shohei Ohtani delivered one of the greatest performances in baseball history.
Pitching. Hitting. Dominating. All at once.
Ohtani led the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 5–1 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series (NLCS) — securing their spot in the World Series once again!
π₯ Ohtani’s Record-Breaking Performance
In one historic night, Ohtani pitched six scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts and hit three home runs — yes, three!
He also became the first pitcher in MLB history (regular season or postseason) to hit a leadoff home run. Even Babe Ruth never did that! π±
π₯ First Inning Fireworks
One minute, Ohtani was blazing through the top of the first with three strikeouts — Roar!
The next, he sent a 446-foot home run flying into the right-field pavilion — Roar! Roar!
The Dodgers led 1–0 early, and honestly, that was all they needed.
πͺ More Power in the Fourth and Seventh
By the fourth inning, Ohtani repeated the magic — striking out two Brewers before hammering another homer, 469 feet this time.
Then, after leaving the mound in the seventh inning, he wasn’t done. Ohtani stepped up and hit his third home run, 427 feet over center field.
That sealed the deal — Ohtani’s masterpiece pushed the Dodgers back to the World Series.
π The Crowd Went Wild
As Ohtani dominated on the mound, fans began chanting:
“MVP! MVP! MVP!” π£️
When he finally exited after six scoreless innings, the Dodger Stadium crowd gave him a standing ovation. Even the stadium organist joined in, playing “Jesus Christ Superstar.”
But the superstar wasn’t finished yet — his bat spoke one last time in that seventh inning.
π Making Baseball History
Let’s put this in perspective — three home runs and six shutout innings in the same postseason game.
That’s something no player in baseball history has ever done.
Not Ruth. Not Gibson. Not anyone.
Manager Dave Roberts had predicted it before the game:
“I think this is his opportunity to make his mark on this series. So, I feel good that he’s pitching for us.”
And Ohtani delivered — in legendary fashion.
⚾ What’s Next for the Dodgers?
The Dodgers, now back-to-back NL champions, will face either the Seattle Mariners or Toronto Blue Jays in the 2025 World Series, starting October 24.
They’re chasing their second consecutive championship, a feat not seen since the 1999–2000 New York Yankees.
