Manchester United may be gearing up for a late shake-up in their attacking lineup, with two standout strikers — Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko — reportedly on their radar. As the transfer window heats up, the Red Devils are weighing their options carefully, aiming to bolster their frontline before the deadline on 1st September.

Both players offer different profiles but come with notable scoring records. Watkins, the seasoned Premier League striker, netted 16 goals last season and continues to be a key figure at Villa Park. Meanwhile, Sesko, the promising 22-year-old Slovenian, impressed in the Bundesliga with 13 goals for Leipzig.


However, signing either won’t be a walk in the park. Newcastle United are also interested in Sesko as they look to secure depth behind Alexander Isak. As for Watkins, Aston Villa have made it clear they're not looking to sell — though some believe their stance could soften closer to deadline day.

United, on the other hand, understand that any incoming transfer will likely require them to offload a few fringe players first to manage finances. And while Watkins is admired, his rumored £60 million price tag — especially for a 29-year-old — raises questions at Old Trafford.
